Weekend Whole Roll, Tri-X in D96

I’m loving the D96 developer I got from Film Photography Project. This was my first stab at using it as a stock solution, but I was fairly confident it would work, given how well previous rolls turned out in 1+1. Anyway, these were shot on fresh Tri-X, eyeball metered at somewhere nearish box speed, and developed for 8 minutes in the aforementioned D96. I used my sweet little 1951 Rolleiflex Automat MX. I realized there was a fiber that had wiggled its way onto the side of my lens, and made its presence know as a little wavy bit on the right side of a few of the frames. I’m assuming they were shot stopped down a little extra as to provide the extra DOF that allows us to see the bit of schmutz at the front of the lens.

These aren’t all masterpiece-level shots, but that’s not the point (or so I tell myself…). We have been increasingly drawn to the bay beaches along the western edge of the Cape May peninsula, and most of these shots represent a few moments from the time we spent exploring this past weekend.

Enjoy!
