I don’t have an artist’s statement per se, but I do know that I have a deeply personal need to make images. I find myself drawn to photography, especially that which uses film, as it presents a nearly ideal meeting of my love of both art and science. I don’t know if I believe in the “decisive moment,” but I do make a lot of decisions…

My family is my center, and my reason to wake up every morning—and I know that many others feel the same. I work with children and interact with families all day, every day—and I‘ve learned that showing families as they are naturally is a gift for the future. It is a snapshot of their reality, and the love present in that captured moment.

From 2012 to 2016, we welcomed musicians from all around the country and world into our little home to produce a series a series of music videos that showcased their individual talents. These videos were created by my wife, my brother in law, and myself—and they feature all different talented musicians.
